Qingyijiang Company is a private enterprise with an annual output of 1 million tons of sodium sulfate (commonly known as Glauber's salt) and a leading enterprise in the domestic sodium sulfate industry. The company has two factories, the old and the new. The production lines on both sides are produced by traditional technology-"multi-effect external heating forced circulation vacuum evaporation", that is, a supporting heat supply station must be built to provide the steam heat source with a large-tonnage coal-fired boiler. At present, the company has two coal-fired boilers of 75 tons/hour, with an annual coal consumption of 237,600 tons. Coal-burning boilers inevitably cause air pollution, and Qingyijiang’s existing production is no exception.
At the beginning of 2016, due to development needs, Qingyijiang Company will move all the production lines of the old factory to a new factory outside the city. After understanding the situation, the State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company took the initiative to publicize the policy trend of preferential electricity prices and long-term operating cost advantages for electric energy substitution. It is recommended that Qingyijiang Company implement "coal-to-electricity" boilers and replace coal with electric energy for production services.
"The provincial power company actively promotes the replacement of electric energy, closely cooperates with the government's functional departments, and does a good job in the calculation of the incentive electricity price of the boiler's coal-to-electricity project. Yu Jianbing told reporters that after long-term research and judgment, Qingyijiang Company has determined the development direction of "coal-to-electricity". There are two reasons. On the one hand, preferential electricity price policy can reduce long-term operating costs to a certain extent. On the other hand, it is also the most critical environmental protection factor. Ensuring the company's sustainable development can also reduce pollution to society.
It is understood that the Qingyijiang Company’s boiler "coal-to-electricity" project is the province's first large-scale industrial boiler coal-to-electricity project. The project has completed the design of the feasibility study report before the end of 2016, and the construction of the plant is scheduled to start before the end of March and will be officially put into operation in October this year. After the implementation of the project, it is expected that the annual reduction of standard coal consumption by 118,800 tons, CO2 emissions by 308,900 tons, SO2 emissions by 1011.32 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 880.91 tons, are expected to have significant social benefits.
